Mary's Meals
We were fortunate to have two ambassadors for the charity organisation 'Mary's Meals' this week. Although we have also supported this charity, it was wonderful to hear all about the children this charity helps. It is important to demonstrate to our children the importance of our Catholic Values. Each class now has a blue mug to collect change. We are hoping to raise enough money for a whole school to have enough food to eat for a whole year. What we raise, the Government will match so we will be able to invite the ladies back to school to present them with a cheque.
Christmas Party
The children had a fantastic time at the Christmas Party! Thank you to the HSA ladies, we couldn't have raised an amazing £800 without you.

Knights of St Columba Nativity Christmas Card Winner
Lyla in Year 2 was presented with a gift voucher for £30 from the Knights of St Columba for her winning entry in the Nativity scene Christmas card competition.
Book Week 2018
During Book week, we looked at the novel, ‘The Faraway Tree.’ The children were so enthused by the story with its many adventures. We decided to create our own Faraway Tree picture adding new characters and an imaginary world that the characters could visit as they reached the top. Once we had finished, we discussed, in our groups, our different ideas and used story language to re-tell to the class.
