Welcome to St Bernadette’s Catholic Primary School.
It is with great joy I welcome you to our school, where we strive each day to live out our motto “Doing our best for God.”
At St Bernadette’s we are proud to be part of The Blessed Edward Bamber Catholic Multi Academy Trust, working together to provide a faith-filled, high-quality education for every child in our care. As a Catholic school, our mission is to provide a nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to grow academically, spiritually, and socially, with Christ at the heart of everything we do. We believe that every child is a precious gift from God, with their own unique talents and purpose - encouraging them to shine both in the classroom and beyond.
We are inspired by the words of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew:
“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” - Matthew 5:16
This scripture reminds us that through trust, respect, service, faith and hope, we honour God and make a difference in the world around us.
Working closely with our families, parish, BEBCMAT and the wider local community, we are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and joyful learning environment where children feel valued and are empowered to succeed. Through a rich and varied curriculum, underpinned by Catholic values, we aim to ignite a lifelong love of learning and a strong moral compass in all our pupils.
Whether you are a current parent, a prospective family, or a visitor exploring our school for the first time, I hope you get a sense of the warmth, faith, and commitment that permeate our school. Explore our website and discover what makes St Bernadette’s such a special place. Please feel free to contact us or arrange a visit — we would be delighted to welcome you in person.
With every blessing,
Mrs Louise Woolfall
