The Importance of School Attendance

Every day in school matters. Even missing just one day each half term can quickly add up to around 33 hours of lost learning over the course of a year.

We understand that children can become unwell, and there will be times when they need to stay at home. However, we want to support our pupils to attend school as regularly as possible so they can make the most of their learning, friendships and opportunities.

If you are unsure whether your child is well enough to attend school, you can follow the NHS guidance: NHS – Is my child too ill for school?

We are always here to support families and will work with you as much as we can to help your child attend school regularly and successfully.

Every day really does count!
