School Meals
At St Bernadette’s Catholic Primary School, we understand the importance of providing children with healthy, balanced and nutritious meals to help them stay happy, healthy and ready to learn. Our school dinner menu offers a wide variety of delicious, high-quality meals, with something to suit a range of tastes and dietary needs, including vegetarian options.
As a Catholic school, our menu also reflects our values and traditions. We have ‘Meat-Free Mondays’ and, on Fridays, we offer fish as our main option, in keeping with our Catholic tradition.
The cost of a school meal for children in Years 3–6 is £3.00 per day. Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM). This Government initiative provides a free school meal to all children in Reception and Key Stage 1, regardless of household income.
School meals can be paid for through the MCAS app. We kindly ask parents and carers to ensure that their child's meal account is kept up to date. Where school meal payments remain outstanding, we may ask that your child brings a packed lunch until the account has been brought up to date.
If you believe your child is entitled to free school meals, please apply via the link below.

Menus
All of our school menus comply with the School Food Standards, ensuring that meals are nutritious and balanced. Our meat is Red Tractor Farm Assured, our fish is MSC certified, and we also use a selection of Free Range and Organic products throughout our menus.
We are proud to provide our children with meals that are not only nutritious and enjoyable, but also reflect the values, traditions and caring ethos of our Catholic school community.
