On Remembrance Day, the children all gathered in our beautiful prayer garden, in their separate bubbles, for a commemorative service. Each bubble
paid their respects in such a poignant way; placing their poppies, and reading poems and prayers. We were accompanied by Mr and  Mrs Duke and Mr Silcock; all dressed in their finery who have individually been part of the Armed Services. We played the ‘Last Post’ and the children all had a moment of silence.
We were also joined by Father Peter who conducted prayers, blessed our prayer garden and the beautiful St Bernadette statue that was kindly donated to school by a parishioner. Despite the cold wind, our guests all braved the elements for an hour and a half so our children and staff could pay their respects; grateful thanks. A special mention to our new Reception children who were particularly moved by this occasion.

Our service was a fitting tribute to the work our children have been learning, in class and in assemblies, about the sacrifices made, and in some cases still making, by very brave young people, so that we may all live in peace.
